Rick vs the Saviors, Who Won the Battle of the Walking Dead?

So who really won the battle of the Walking Dead? I'll steal a quote from billions here and say that you can no more win a war than an earthquake, because even though Rick Grimes definitely won the war, there were a ton of losses and casualties along the way, which means that just for waging war, both sides really ended up losing in the end. I am somewhat liberal on the subject of war, but could also be construed as a moderate, in that I feel that war is a necessary thing and that you cannot avoid it, but that you can only really postpone it to the advantage of your enemy. 

With that being said, it is something that takes resources away from both parties, and so the longer it drags on, the worse it is. I would say that Rick definitely defeated the saviors in the Walking Dead, but that both sides really lost the war in the end. So many saviors were knocked out of contention completely, Negan ends up in a cell to waste away for the rest of his days, and both sides expended a lot of resources, like weapons and food that they could have used to, as Rick said, attack the real enemy, which was the walkers. 

Final Thoughts on Rick Grimes and His Battle Against the Saviors

I do really like how the show made everyone come to together against the common enemy the Walkers, and of how they were trying to rebuild civilization out of it. I am excited to see Walking Dead Season 11, and hope it ends with something close to a civilization being built.
